The Annual Wood Delivery

The huge wood delivery is finally stacked!

We spent the weekend stacking and stacking and stacking wood! It was two dumptruck loads--I have no idea how many cords.

It was a gorgeous fall weekend with mild temperatures and sunny skies. The smell of fresh cut oak and birch is something you won't forget!

We've always provided firewood for our guests and they have told us how much they appreciate it! Imaging spending $6 for a tiny bundle down at the store. Guests use our firewood for campfires, and for the wood-fired sauna, and for the woodstove inside the house.

We love starting up the indoor woodstove on those cool, fall or spring mornings and throwing open all the windows and doors! With a blazing fire going downstairs and the cool breezes blowing through the house it's a perfect Adirondack day.

New Wood Fired Sauna!

This is our new Sauna!
Just in time for the Winter Season, you and your guests can now enjoy the luxury of an authentic wood-fire suana. The sauna is very simple to use--just build a small wood fire in the woodstove, wait 30 minutes for the sauna to heat up and Enjoy!!  Sprinkle a bit of water on the hot rocks and create a hot, steamy sauna. It's great! And it's located just a few footsteps from the house.  The sauna seats 6 and we've provided plenty of seasoned wood for the fire.

Juniper Hill Loj

Juniper Hill Loj is perched on a steep incline with a MILLION DOLLAR VIEW of Whiteface Mountain (4,867'), the fifth highest New York peak, and Esther Mountain (4,240'). You won't see houses, or power lines, or roads, just the stunning High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains laid out before you.

At night it's a star gazer's paradise! The high altitude, low population make this one of the best places to take in the heavens. Magnificent!

Juniper Hill Loj sleeps 6 with its 2 full bedrooms and loft sleeping area.

The master bath is a beautiful example of Adirondack design. Savor a good long soak in the large, heated Jacuzzi whirlpool tub which easily accommodates two!
